Hopefully you are not getting bored as we are not even halfway through with the opening the beauty advent calendars. Today’s product or day 9 is from the Liberty Beauty Advent calendar and it is one of the cleaners from Skin Laundry, to be specific, it is the Skin Purifying Cream Cleanser.
At some point, not sure if that still holds to this day, Liberty was featuring Skin Laundry cleansers as being some of the best cleansers there are. At that point I was looking for a new product as I was dealing with the worst case of acne and I was starting to freak out, it turns out that stress was the reason why I was breaking out so much, but anyway, the brand caught my attention and ever since I have been looking for an opportunity to get my hands on one of Skin Laundry’s products. That did not happen eve though it has been around 2 years since I first found out about the brand, but thanks to the Liberty advent colander, I finally got my hands on one and it is an amazing size as well. I will be able to use it for quite some time. Seriously, more product should be sold in a travel friendly size as in this way you get the chance to try out new products at a more affordable price that is if they do reduce the price accordingly. You know how much I hate buying full size products only to then realise that I do not like them all that much.
Going back to Skin Laundry Skin Purifying Cream Cleanser. The product is good, that was my first impression and now, after having used it for more than 10 times, I stand by what I initially thought. First impressions do matter it seems. The product is able to remove my makeup and make me feel like my face is clean which I am assuming it actually is and not just feels like it is. The cream does not have an actual fragrance, it does smell like something, but I do not believe it was meant to be considered as scented. It must be the ingredients used. The scent whatever it may be, it is bearable and that is what matters. Personally, I do not have anything against fragranced products. As for the texture, I like the cream but I kinda dislike the foam. It foams so much and you need a lot fo water to properly wash it off. After removing the product, the skin is left clean, but in my case a bit dry as well, however not uncomfortably so.
Overall, I believe that Skin Landry’s Skin Purifying Cream Cleanser is a good product, however it is not exactly what I was expecting when I first saw the bottles on Liberty’s website. I like the product and it is not super expressive so if you want to try a different kind of cleanser that is also effective I would say go for it, however I currently have two identical bottles of this product and that will last me a while so I do not see myself buying a new one anytime soon.
