Hello ASOS and hello Korres! Wow, now wasn’t that some sort of weird flashback? It reminds me of the voting at Eurovision, you know the moment when the country representatives are ready to announce the scores. Anyway, this is day 8 and we are spending it with Korres, a brand that I have been meaning to try in full size form for so long, but luckily now I can due to the Tili box November, however I I have used Korres before and now with ASOS I get to try a new scent.
The Korres mini shower gel is the 8th product from the ASOS beauty advent calendar and if I am not mistaken the very first product from that calendar that I am reviewing. The thing about Korres is that it is so damn hard not to like their scents! They have so many of them and they have been chosen carefully. You can tell as much just by looking at them and/or smelling them. While their scents do not take you somewhere far, far away nor do they connect you to a memory, at least they do not do that for me, they are incredibly beautiful.
The shower gel feels so great on the skin and it will fill the shower cabin with its beautiful scent, however no need to worry as you leave the shower the fragrance will not linger for long periods of time – the one in the cabin nor the one that is left behind on your body. However, you will feel cleaner. I am not sure how explain this, but there are a few shower gels that make one feel squeaky clean, while others just do the minimum their job requires. I am glad to be about to report that this is not one of them.
It feels so strange reviewing a shower gel to be honest, but that is one thing I forgot to mention. The product is a gel and not a cream. You might be interested in knowing that, I do not know. However, what I do know is that I will be getting a lot more Korres in the near future (well after I run out of my huge collection of shower gels). The Korres shower gel rocks! I support what I just said even though I do have to admit that is not my most favourite shower product, but with so many other scents out there, who knows? I do have one special shower gel that I love more than any other, but did not manage to get from anywhere after I ran out of my sample. Korres on the other hand, it available in so many places that if you do fall in love with the product, you will be able to get it from you nearest Waitrose shop.
This particular Korres shower gel is a Sanotorini Vine one and the scent is interesting, but it is definitely not a favourite either. The product is good like I mentioned previously, but that combines with the scent it makes it one that I will probably never buy – this particular one I mean.
Overall, I stand by my previous thoughts. The Korres shower gel is an amazing product, but not with this particular fragrance.
Have you ever tried anything from Korres?
