Oil for oily skin? You might be skeptical. I know I was a long time ago and from time to time I still am despite having tried one or two oil based cleanser in my life. The DHC Deep Cleansing Oil is probably the 3rd product of this kind that I tried and I am happy that it was included as a gift for the 19th of December in the ASOS beauty calendar.
Like I said, oil for oily skin? Surprisingly it works quite well, much better than most other cleansers to be honest. I found that oil based cleansers leave my face hydrated on top of doing their job. Most regular cleanser strip my face of the natural oils thus leaving my face feeling incredibly dry and uncomfortable. That does not happen with oil based cleanser. The face is left feeling incredibly comfortable as well as clean.
Besides the previously mentioned benefits, oil based cleansers are much better at removing every trace of makeup. Hopefully one day I will find the nerve to actually show you the difference, this has been on my mind for some time now. No matter, the point is that even you waterproof mascara will come off and you face will appreciate you using an oil based cleanser especially after a long evening/night out. The cleansing power of such products is unrivalled almost and DHC Deep cleansing product is no exception. The DHC deep cleansing oil works as well as any other oil based product I have tried before.
Would I recommend DHC deep cleansing oil if it so similar to other oil based cleansers? The answer is yes. The product does its job that is true, however it also comes at an amazing price. A 200 ml bottle is 24 pounds which is a bit high compared to drugstore products, but it is totally acceptable when compared to higher end ones. At the time of writing you can get the product on offer here. Or you can get more product for less by purchasing two bottles of 120 ml (am I the only one who finds this weird?).
