In life and beauty, you will always encounter those products that you will neither love nor hate. Bobbi Brown’s Remedies Skin Moisture Solution concentrate is one of those for me. However before we get into that, I just wanted to let you know that this is the 11th product from the Harrods Beauty Advent calendar.
I have seen this new collection from Bobbi Brown around for a while, so the products are not that new and even though I have never been drawn to Bobbi Brown for some reason, I wanted to give these products a try. As you can imagine I was really happy when I saw this product inside the advent calendar! I was finally getting the chance to try a product from the collection and particularly a product that my skin can actually benefit from at this time (more so than usual). I have areas on my face that are dehydrated and require more moisture than others and more often than not, a moisturiser alone won’t do so I tend to turn to serums as they are more potent. They definitely help me manage my skin better, especially during winter. Okay, so you get it, I was happy and could not wait to try it out and no, not just because of its beautiful packaging.
Before I go into the details I just wanted to say that my skin really felt more hydrated after using the product, however at the same time it felt sticky and a bit uncomfortable. This is not so unusual, but I was hoping that at this price range and coming from such a well known brand, that would not be an issue. The moment you apply the product to the skin it dries and it dries so fast that you barely have time to spread it all over. That was pretty disappointing to say the least. Like I mentioned before, I am used to this happening, but there are product that cost a fraction of the price. On the other hand, the concentrate does not just help only temporality, it helps in the long run as well as it improve the ability of your skin to retain moisture! After using it for a couple of weeks have seen clear results. The only really annoying thing is the weird stickiness situation which prevents me from loving the product.
Overall, I think that the Skin Moisture Concentrate from the Remedies collection created by Bobbi Brown is a good product and it actually does what it says on the box, however there are other products out there that help you achieve similar results and are less pricey- eg. The Ordinary. That being said, I still want to try another one of the remedies, but I haven’t decided which one!
Have you ever tried any of the Bobbi Brown Remedies?
