goals

2017 sounds so strange, but I should be used to it by now. I recall when I was in primary school and we used to write the date on the blackboard every morning, it usually took us a couple of weeks till we got the year right. It feels the same way now, even though I have been thinking about this year for a very long time.

For me, 2017 will be a year of change, whether I like it or not. Furthermore, 2017 is the year I graduate from university and that is definitely something hard to forget. While I do not have every detail of this year planned out, there are a few things that I know I want to at least try to accomplish.

Without further ado, my goals for 2017 are:

Blogging goals:

  1. Redesign the blog.
  2. Post 50 articles on the blog this year
  3. Reach 500 BlogLovin’ followers
  4. Reach 500 Instagram followers
  5. Reach 1000 Twitter followers
  6. Reach 1000 Pinterest followers
  7. Reach 1500 Facebook likes
  8. Review 10 books
  9. Attend 3 blogging events

I have quite a few blogging goals, but I am quite close when it comes to many of them so I do hope that I will manage to accomplish all of them. I will definitely try!

Personal:

I am going to start with the cliche one – losing 10 kg by 2018. Now that we got that one out of the way, let’s focus on the more important goals. In 2017 I want to be less fearful of the unknown and just be able to embrace it. At the end of summer I might not know where I will be headed next and I want that to be okay. In 2017, I plan on being a lot more positive and a lot less stressed. Life is hard enough as it is, no need to make it even more so. Furthermore, I am going to do everything in my power so that at the end of this year I will be able to say that I grew as a person, even if just by a little.

In all reality, all I want in 2017 though is to be happy no matter where life takes me. While it would be nice to achieve all of the above and I will try my best, being happy, healthy and surrounded by family is what is most important to me.

Wish you all an amazing and transformational 2017!
